"At what point are we going to start powerfully reclaiming the sacredness of our sexual bodies? My whole rant about the negation of the feminine being linked to climate change is right in here...the shaming of our bodies, women as sin, pleasure as sin, clitoral circumcision, menstrual bleeding as filth or the reason why women get beaten every month...

How to survive it? Stop feeling the agony of what's been done to us by cutting off from our feelings and suppressing ourselves, numb off from feeling our pleasure and our power, silently become the version of woman that is biddable and controllable, lose the connection to our wombs, our innate authority and our creativity.

...and not just us because the feminine lives in everyone, so when that side of us is negated which it has been utterly in this world of ours, we also lose our connection to our roots, our knowing, our Mother, Sacred Mother, Goddess and of course Planetary Mother, Earth...we can control her, use her, dominate her in just the same way as all things feminine have been dominated.

We have been taught that domination of nature is evolution. We are busily teaching the indigenous cultures that we consider backwards and who live in respect and right relationship to nature, that using and abusing her, trashing and poisoning her is much more advanced. But even in some totally sustainable indigenous cultures far away from anyone and everything so called 'advanced', women are still considered less than...WHY? How can the creators of life be somehow less?

I just can't bare what's been done to us, is still being done to us and what has been and still is being done to our Mother, and that the upshot of it all has been to STOP FEELING everything as a coping mechanism, because then you can watch it all collapse and stay safely numb. Wonder why mental illness is sky rocketing? This is our inheritance until we wake up and start feeling. Climate change is the creation of a humanity that is so shut off from our relationship to nature that we can trash her without feeling a thing and without realizing that when we trash her, we trash ourselves.

This is why we need the women. This is why TreeSISTERS, because it's personal to our history, our story is her story and our willingness to feel is vital if we are to both heal, and find the courage to step up on behalf of HER, the one who mothers us all.

And that healing has to start with us. If we cant reclaim our own bodies, then what chance do we have with our planetary body? We have to reclaim our pleasure and our power, our physical connection to the moon, our cyclical natures, our earthy rawness, our majesty, our value, because until we do, until we step out from underneath this vale of shame that has been spread over us all, then we stay dominated, and so does our Mother. When we find our powerful self respect then the world can re-evaluate what women actually is because we will have redefined ourselves according to what is truly living through us, as us. Then please, can we come to our Mothers aid. www.treesisters.org/join-in"
