When a woman reaches puberty, it is the most natural thing... yet from time immemorial we've been trying to brush the whole issue under the carpet and making women feel dirty about the most beautiful aspect of their lives. Why? Isn't it time we changed things?

EN - 'Women Who Run With The Wolves isn't just another book. It is a gift of profound insight, wisdom and love. An oracle from one who knows.' Alice Walker
In the classic Women Who Run With The Wolves, Clarissa Pinkola Estes tells us about the 'wild woman', the wise and ageless presence in the female psyche that gives women their creativity, energy and power. For centuries, the 'wild woman' has been repressed by a male-orientated value system which trivialises women's emotions. Using a combination of time-honoured stories and contemporary casework, Estes reveals that the 'wild woman' in us is innately healthy, passionate and wise.

EN - Ancient menstrual wisdom for modern women For our ancestors the menstrual cycle was a source of wonderful creative, spiritual, sexual, emotional, mental and physical energies. It was a gift that empowered women to renew themselves each month, to manifest and create the world around them, to connect deeply with the land and their family, and to express deep wisdom and inspiration. This ancient female teaching is still available to us in our mythology and nursery tales. Miranda Gray introduces modern women to their unique cyclic nature and guides them in accepting and expressing a passionate and creative cycle-empowered life.
What is menstruation? What changes in a young girl's life when it first arrives?
This film represents a fresh view of a taboo impacting the world of girls (and boys) to a larger extent than it may first seem.

Diana is not the only one for whom the monthly period is no fun at all. Headaches, nausea, depression - why is it so widely accepted that women all over the world should feel so lousy on a regular basis? And why is the subject still not openly discussed? With a keen sense of perspective, humor, and self-mockery, Diana went in search of answers and made the touching and informative movie "The Moon Inside You - A Secret Keep too Well" - www.mooninsideyou.com.
Diana talks about her movie in an interview at the 8th International Zagreb Film Festival 2010.

When my daughter was born I had lots of time to think and especially the realisation of someone needing me to survive made me think about lots of health issues. I started a journey of discovering all the terrible things that were happening to Earth, to animals & to humans: deforestation, poisoning of water, climate change, endangered species, cruelty to animals, distruction of their natural habitat, overfishing, mass production of meat, genetically modified food, pesticides, toxines in our food, fast food, genocide, inquisition, rape, violence, war, slavery, circumcision, oppression, corruption, consumerism, materialism, ... just to name a few!
Enabling women to honor and celebrate their cycles - Menstruation in the United States has always been a hush- hush topic. “Don’t talk about it too much, get over it and go on with your life” is what society seems to be telling us. We’re here to say, “Hold on! That’s not quite how it’s going to be anymore.” Our monthly cycle is part of this earthly life; we are intricately tied with nature. The relationship runs deep. Humanity depends on us to perpetuate itself. There should be absolutely no shame around the cycle that makes this possible. As women, we deserve to honor and celebrate this part of our lives.
Do you suffer from menstrual problems? Do you dread getting your period every month? Maybe you think of it as a curse or something you just put up with. Or, could you be one of a growing number of women who are waking up to the spiritual powers of your menstrual cycle and using that knowledge not only to heal your body and release your full creative potential but also have transformative spiritual experiences.

Articles by Dr. Jerilynn C. Prior, Scientific Director, Centre for Menstrual Cycle and Ovulation Research
This series of articles - Preventive Powers of Ovulation and Progesterone - originally published in the CeMCOR newsletter, illustrate the importance of ovulation throughout women's reproductive life. Scientific evidence shows that ovulation (and therefore an approporiate progesterone level) is necessary for the optimum development and functioning of several physiological systems in women's bodies. The articles explain what ovulation is and address some of the issues and implications of ovulatory disturbances.
